Hi Tym, I was prompted to celebrate your 20 years on LJ.
I'm tired of FB, so I might start reading and writing here instead. No offense to people I love & care about, but sometimes I need a place to write where my mom isn't going to read it.
I've also finally broken down and got Reddit. Although I'm resisting the app, even though I downloaded this one.
The last post I see of yours here is 2016, and you were looking for work and frustrated by the lack of it. I totally feel you, and I hope the situation has improved. I also understand the ageism that is rampant.
Gig work is the only work I've been able to keep in those last 7 years. I worked at a shelter for 6 months before finally being let go for chasing after a dog who had escaped and was running in the street. I did the wrong thing for the right reason.
I hope you & Michelle are well. It has not been so around here much lately. I lost Kami, and the remaining 3 animals are all old and dying. Dad is gone, Mom is.....not handling it very well. She is addicted to an online game on her phone. And now Dad has depression, too. OK, blessed be and thanks for listening if you ever check this.
