Holiday potluck

Friday night I went to Stonehill for the second weekend in a row for the Holiday Gift wrap.  It was fun, last year was better, because there were more people we knew last year.

We talked to Jared our old RD and his wife Erin and their friend.  That was fun.

Afterwards we went to Owen O'Leary's.  (Not for 2 dollar drafts and dollar pizzas sadly).  Courtney, Krissy, and I caught up and I told them the recent insanity with my family.  And by insanity I mean just the normal bullshit that makes me feel like I'm 3 and I need to move out ASAP.

Courtney and I were looking into moving out this summer with Ryan but he is getting his own place now apparently.  Anyone want to live in Brighton in June-ish?

Saturday went to Kim's potlluck party.  It was awesome.  There were a lot of people because
kimmercake's boyfriend
incontango's many friends were there.  We didn't mingle as much as we probably should have, but I think that we are doing all right for a gradual merging of a lot of big personalities.

Nortsnorts was there, which was awesome.  I have run into her occassionally on the train but it was nice to see her for an extended period of time.  Especially when it results in conversation about people being mouth kissers (not romantically but to say hello--ie The Kiss Hello from Seinfeld) and yelling "Not on my mouth."  I came the closest to death by laughter than in a long time.

Other notable things I found funny were talking like the Turget lady with
xfilesdorkdks and intermittently singing 'Cuz I got high with
justfeelngtired.

The party was excellent. Lots of good food. My buffalo nachos went over well (phew).

All in all a good weekend.  This week will probably be crazy related to finals but then it should be all right because the students will be on break.

I love my job. But I'm starting to question if higher ed is where I will stay. But I decided it doesn't matter because unless it is 100 percent paid for by not-me, I am not going to grad school until I move out.  If it comes down to moving out after I'm 30 or never going to grad school I'm never going to grad school.
