Spending far too much time with a globe.
Can I get a second opinion here?

It seems to me that the larger known oil fields occur in places that:
-are close to a plate boundary with occasional seismic activity but no vulcanism
-tend to have diamond deposits
-are lowlands that are marsh or would be with the right climate
-offshore sites are on the shelf in areas that would fit that description if sea level was lower

I think it might be fun to see if I can pick out new/existing fields.
Might I get tricstmr to tell me how close I get?
