I responded to a question on customerssuck about whether or not anymone has witnessed a customer suck moment and said anything to the sucky person. I responded with this...
Honestly, I've called crappy customers on it twice. It takes ALOT to snap my patience but when it goes I tend to spout out the first thing that pops into my head.
Example 1: Mom and I in line at Wal-Mart...we'd been there a while, it was very busy and all the lines seemed to be really long so everyone had to wait their turn. We're the third ones back after about a 20 minute wait when this woman at the register starts wiggin out. She's ranting and yelling and just generally going on and on about, get this... ONE OF HER ITEMS RANG UP 40 CENTS MORE THAN SHE SAID IT COST! Yep...40 farkin cents. Anyways, she kept up her bitching for a while, the cashier looked like she wanted to cry and I started pacing. Mom knew too...she's like "You're gonna do it arent you?" I said "She's got about a minute to shut up cuz I'm about tired of this shit" At which point I reached into my pocket and fished out two quarters, slid past the person in front of me and slammed the quarters down on the counter in front of the bitch and said "Here's 50 cents, that should cover it and you can even keep the damn dime if you'll just shut the hell up and go away" Needless to say she was stunned and apologized to the cashier, paid for her items and promptly left without another word.
Example 2: Happened just recently actually. I was at my local grocery store and this cranky old bat was in front of me when lord forbid a sale item didnt pop up on the screen with the corrected sales price. The woman asks the cashier about it and the cashier said she wasnt sure about that item if it was on sale or not. The old bat goes off on her. She starts screaming at her and calling her stupid because she doesnt know all the sale items. The manager comes over to try and help and she goes off on her telling her she needs to train her cashiers better because "this one is too stupid to even know what sales are going on" The manager tried to calm her down but she kept up until finally I had had enough and this happened:
Me=Me (duh)
COB=Cranky Old Bitch
Me~ Umm, excuse me.
COB~ What do you want?
Me~ When you get done circling the store on that thing could you come over to my house and sweep off my front porch?
COB~ EXCUSE ME!
Me~ Well you've been screaming at that girl for 5 minutes over something she has no control over and the manager would be all too happy to fix it for you if you'd just shut up for a minute and stop being such a bitch.
COB~ .... (stunned silence)
Me~ Thank you
The manager and the cashier looked like they were going to pass out
So she kept her mouth shut finally and let the manager fix the error, took her purchases and toddled off home. The manager and cashier burst out laughing right after she left.
