Happy Chinese New Year! Doesn't matter if you don't celebrate it, just shouting it out. Year of the Dog. I can't wait till it's back to Year of the Dragon, then I'll have reason to celebrate!
Back down to 1 job (involuntarily, the other job ended the assignment early :/)! Basically made my Dimension Lab job full time, but with an increased pay and overtime options. I also got to get used to being paid only twice a month again. I'm so frivolous with money, I actually have to tell myself how to spend wisely.
Got to hang with Pho0ka and Glazedlife over the weekend. Glazed managed to show off some old Monkees episodes from back in the day. It was silly faire until the episode with Rip Taylor playing the Wizard Glick came on. I thought Rip Taylor was the funniest shit in the world when I was little. This funny little man who would randomly pop up in an audience and throw shit at people. I think that's where they got the inspiration for that muppet with the boomerang fish! After the Monkees defeat the Wizard Glick with the helpful Frodis, he utters "I don't want to fight anymore. I just want to lie down in the grass and be cool." That made my night. Good to hang out with you guys again!
Comic update: While Kuri toils away on his new drawing (basically a fantastic portfolio piece), I'm going to retrain myself on Photoshop and Illustrator to letter the comic and help out with shading and effects.
