It may be a few months late, but I am going to finally put up my top albums of 2008, Although they will be in no particular order. So you will have to deal with them. I also won't be doing any sort of reasoning as to why they are on the list, they just happen to be albums that I really liked from the past year. Deal with it.
Secret Lives of The Freemasons - Weekend Warriors (Feb)
Thrice - The Alchemy Index Vol. III and IV (April)
Panic at the Disco - Pretty. Odd. (March)
Senses Fail - Life Is Not a Waiting Room (Oct)
Sing It Loud - Come Around (Sept)
Small Towns Burn A Little Slower - So Begins The Test of a Man (Feb)
Danger Radio - Used and Abused (July)
The Cab - Whisper War (April)
Forever The Sickest Kids - Underdog Alma Mater (April)
Fall Out Boy - Folie à Deux (Dec)
Close Calls
The Hush Sound - Goodbye Blues (March)
Hit The Lights - Skip School, Start Fights (July)
There are a few other close call albums, but I figured I would limit it to the hardest ones to remove from the list, otherwise this list could go on all day.
Also a new thing I am throwing in here... My Top EPs of 2008
Take Cover - Take Cover EP (Sept)
Emery - While Broken Hearts Prevail (Oct)
Poison The Well - I/III (Nov)
Cinematic Sunrise - A Coloring Story book and Long Playing Record (May/Oct)
I did top EPs because I don't feel that something with 2-6 songs(or 8 if you consider re-released with two new tracks) should be in the same category as a full length album. Don't argue with my decision to do so.
Also 2007 Albums that are still relevant in my life.
Four Year Strong - Rise Or Die Trying
Cartel - Cartel
All Time Low - So Wrong Its Right
Emery - I’m Only A Man
That's the end of that list. You may be getting another list soon of things I would like to complete in the 22nd year of my life. I am thinkin 100 things. Who knows tho, we will see how many I can come up with. So until then.
