edinbourgh photos (my birthday-jan 05)

first thing we saw arriving in edinbourgh was the scottish national monument... it's totally gorgeous. from the start we LOVE it here.

we walked around in this cool cemetary:

here's another shot...

and believe it or not, we turned the corner, and there was ABE, so i jumped in to pose and give my respects to the scottish-american soilders as well

here was a cool church, in front of which there is a heart-shaped pattern in the bricks where they used to hang criminals, and it's said to be good luck to spit into the heart when you walk past (and even "socially suitable" for women)

geraldine and i are sleeping in our hostel bunkbed- pay no attention to my hair please. thanks.

here we are walking around the city... we were here 4 days, and enjoying just wandering

a typical street in edinbourgh... i really think this was the most beautiful city i've ever been to, like, EVER

we met some Scotsmen, who took us around the city... i swear the scottish are the most friendly people in the world. everywhere we went everyone was so awesome. we made lots of friends.one of them here, gavin, is leading us up to Edinbough castle... it's really cold, and i told him that he shouldn't buy from gap... he told me he got the sweatshirt for free when it was left at his house after a party, and was told that GAP stood for Gay And Proud. yeah...anyway the castle ruled! yay castles!

more wandering... we had so much fun together, i love these two SO MUCH! France, Germany and the States... everyone thought we were a trio of james-bond-type spies with our mixture of nationalities

view of the city from outside our hostel. GORGEOUS.

we're still freezing, we're still wandering the lovely streets

oh yeah, and i had my 22nd birthday! this was the only night the whole trip we didn't go out to a club, but here in the bar below our hostel had kareoke night, so the girls made me sing... i did Billie holiday's Dream a Little Dream and Coolio's gangster's paradise by Desiree's and Geraldine's demands respectively! haha! it ruled.

this was the top of a hill with a good view of the city... des put me in the shot to make it a less boring picture. and i feel like a postcard.

here we are on our last night in scotland, dancing at an indie club called The Egg at "The Art College" it was a really good night.

here we pose for our last night on our week-long lass get-away. we totally bonded, and we all now have international friends for life. YAY!

and then we're back in LONDON and our English living. YAY FOR HOLIDAY! sad it's over... but great memories for sure!
