After dismissing the soldiers that would normally have accompanied her in such a situation, she briskly walked laps through the palace corridors, searching for the little pest. She would have liked to get angry, but remaining cool and collected was always an advantage- especially when she was fairly certain that riling her up was exactly what he wanted.

Finally he tired of that game and planted himself in her way, smoking a cigarette and leaning against a wall so that she would see him when she rounded the next corner.
"Oh my," he said with mock dismay, his eyes widening. "The Princess of the Fire Nation. I thought you were in Paris. Now I'm screwed."

He blew out a cloud of smoke as he continued. "Well, everyone in this castle seems to think so. Apparently there's a spy here or something. But they just can't seem to find him."
Interesting that she wasn't angry. At least, she wanted him to think she wasn't angry. He wondered what she was planning to do to try to eject him from the premises, or even if she was really going to try.
