Tyki poked at his computer. He was extremely inebriated and people were asking him a lot of stupid questions about the curse and the death threats, and overall he was feeling very maudlin and down in the dumps. But he was sober enough - barely - to figure out how to use the Ark to create a doorway direction from his bedroom to Zechs' in Mars

He knew he was acting a bit out of character, and the fact that he couldn't simply act like himself and put it behind him had a lot to do with the amount of alcohol in his bloodstream. In a way, he'd always thought that when he died he'd be in hell, but what Hades had said had struck him to the bone.
He didn't want to tell Zechs about the new curse. He knew it would only depress and worry him. He didn't want Zechs confronted with the fact that when Tyki died - which, after all, eventually happened to everyone - that he would be tortured and at Hades' mercy for all eternity.

Very well, he hadn't been exactly baiting them before in that thread. Actually, what Tyki had done was much what he himself would have chosen to do, under the circumstances. But he really thought his lover would have held out for something for his own gain. Zechs moved over to the side of the bed and sat, peering at the bottle of Scotch Tyki was clutching as if it were a weapon he couldn't release. He couldn't quite make out the label. He touched the Noah's leg, and asked kindly, "What is there to be had in the nineteenth century?"
Not that Zechs intended on getting drunk, this evening. But it seemed like as good of an opener to a conversation than anything.

Perhaps he'd regret it later. Perhaps not.
He pretty much ignored Zechs' question, though he handed the bottle to his lover so he could look at it if he wanted. Then he inched over, and wrapped both arms around him tightly, burying his face in his neck. "Yeah, I'm finished baiting them," he said softly. "I did the right thing. Good for me."

After a few moments, he asked gently, "I will not pry, but if you'd like to tell me about it, you may do so."
Something was clearly bothering him. But Zechs was being honest - he really didn't want to butt in where he wasn't wanted, to be too fussy, or to be too nosy. He cared about the Noah, though, and was therefore worried about him when he wasn't himself. If Tyki wanted to talk about it in person, where people couldn't hack into their locks, he could, but Zechs wouldn't push him. He would just be there for him.
