"Caution would be fair advice to follow," Zechs agreed slowly, trying his best not to take this completely negatively. He knew Tyki often had a devil-may-care attitude towards life, and tended to take a more optimistic view. By now, he realized this wasn't from any lack of foresight or disregard to good sense. He was certain Tyki had thought this through before accepting.
That still didn't change the fact the Noah had made a different decision than he would have, but it explained why Zechs couldn't fault him for it at all. And why he was fighting so hard internally at dampening his worry. Tyki had been so joyful. 'The most amazing', he had said. He was so happy.
Zechs' mind kept imagining scenarios where his ability suddenly wouldn't work for him, and his gut clenched again.
Sighing, he rubbed his hands against his lover's back. "I only hope you are correct, my love." He tried to kill some of those bleak images his mind kept summoning. "I know this is something you have desired more than nearly anything. For that ... I am glad, as well, you have this."
