So I was making coffee this morning, and looking at the back of the packet of dark roast coffee... it said 'best if used within four weeks.' I don't drink that much coffee, so it's going to get stale, but whatever.
My question at the moment really revolves around the amount of coffee grounds per amount of water. The package recommends 1 tablespoon to six ounces of water. This is regular black bean juice coffee. That's got to be glue!
My recipe is the one I grew up with. A rounded 1/4 cup to a 10-cup pot. Comes out to about 1 1/5 tsp per "cup".
What's your recipe? Does anybody actually drink it as strong as directed?
