heart healthy or foolhardy?
I'm not sure if Miguel is concerned about his health or if he's just dumb.
The Facts:
a) While I've been preparing dinner, Miguel has stuck his head into a can of lima beans and eaten his fill.
b) If I thought the lima beans were a fluke, he did again the next week with peas.
c) Tonight I poured a little rice milk on the counter, and he lapped it up like a baby.
So I ask again - healthnut or just nuts?

In other news, the youth tournament that we hold at UNH went smoothly, more or less. I only broke cried once, on Saturday, when two coaches yelled at me about their TEN-YEAR-OLD fencers. One actually yelled at me because I carded a kid because he was running into his opponent and often doing so while covering target. The kid probably got off lucky with only one red card. The other coach said that the ten-year-olds fenced better than I do. And he's a local coach, so I look forward to seeing him/reffing his kids again soon.
SPEAKING of reffing again soon... I got an offer to direct at a tournament down in Danvers. The email says $50 a round with 6 rounds in the day. That sounds like a thing to which I cannot say no. Heck, that's like a week's pay! So anyway, if he still needs people, and I don't totally freak out before the event, I'm so going. I'll probably even get a paycheck from THIS weekend before I finally get my paycheck from LAST weekend. Stupid being-a-UNH-employee thing...
OK that's all for now... Bed time for me & Migs. Well, Migs is high on catnip, but he'll settle down soon enough.
