The artist has done several pieces featuring this little snake. I would imagine it's difficult to render an animal realistically while still conveying anthropomorphic characteristics, which is one reason why I like the artist's work so much. The look of horror and consternation on the snake's face as he contemplates his pinkies, perhaps realizing what they really are, is priceless.
