Today has been A Good Day
For the first part of my day, I was participating in Paint Out Tempe, which was hosted by Montage Gallery. It was awesome. I got to hang out with another artist while I worked. I didn't feel any pressure while I painted. I worked with acrylic paints, doing real canvas work and enjoyed every second of it. And when I was done with the painting, I got to talk with two of the artists who have regular displays at Montage. They were both very cool to talk with. I was given advice, as well as understanding, and on top of that, encouragement.
The second half of my day was spent at the Sausage Fest, aka the TRICKED release party. And I got to finally meet Kevin Hearne in person. My reaction, internally, when he shook my hand was thus:
Needless to say, I'm impressed that I somehow kept my composure. I'll see Kevin again during PHXCC as well. Best part? HE LIKES MY ART! I've done a handful of fanart pieces for him and he LIKES THEM! holycraphelikesmyworkomg. I did some internal geeking out and then I met some other fans and had an awesome time chatting with them. It was EXCELLENT.
And then I got some ice cream and came home.
Today has been A Good Day for me. I will likely be floating on this good mood for a few days. And I'm good with that.
