In which things are changed again

Some general updates are behind the cut. And I did that so this wouldn't take up quite so much space.

Medical status is thus: Insurance wouldn't cover* the Lexapro, so I've been swapped out to the first gen of the formulation, otherwise known as Celexa, as it has a generic on the market (Citalopram). It's a slightly higher dosage than the Lexapro was but my MD has asked that I keep to the dosing schedule and take notes on the things that are Out Of The Ordinary or Wrong. Yoga has been halted temporarily in the face of much needed cleaning (see below) but will resume very soon.

Cleaning... Yeah. I have got WAY too much crap in the closet and need to do some serious clearing out of the stuff. Post haste. There's outfits in there that I haven't even worn, which bothers me, and therefore I'll be putting myself up to the challenge of wearing said outfits (and proving that I've worn them, which means photos...) Some of the stuff just needs to be thrown out, some of it can be set aside for the girls for the times they stay over, some of it I need to make more use of. In the midst of the cleaning, I found my old Galligaskins Yoga Moose tshirt, which makes me Very Happy.
I also picked up a bagless vacuum yesterday. Will be using it this afternoon between laundry loads and sorting, because holycrap the living room needs to be freed from the grip of the Dust Bunnies Of Doom. Next on the list of things to clean, amidst the laundry/sorting and vacuuming, is the clearing of one of the tables in the livingroom and reorganizing of the closet in the 2nd bedroom (the girls' room) and the one in the stairwell. My desk is the last thing that will get cleaned up, and I did that on purpose.

I've been taking a few photos along the way. It's something to help remind me of how things were and how much progress I've made. In the grand scheme of things, it'll help serve as an artistic twist to the otherwise daunting task of clearing out things Too Late In The Game. There are photos that my mother has (and thankfully hasn't threatened me with just yet) of how my grandmother's room looked before they overhauled it. And good lords it was SCARY. Having photos of my own stuff will help me NOT end up like that. And insofar as art goes, well, it's coming along.

Gaming; this evening, I will be in City Of. I told someone I'd be there to team with them, and I am going to do my best to adhere to the time frame I gave. Instead of Cyberpunk happening here on Saturday, it will be traversing to Caradoc's abode. If the Cyberpunk stuff gets set aside, it's no big deal, because there is plenty of stuff to watch and chat about as it is.

*because Lexapro is a medication that currently has no generic equivalent on the market, my RX side of my insurance demands that I be put through trials on a med that has a generic available or put in a Prior Authorization (Prior Auth) to get it covered. 30 days of Lexapro with no insurance = $120. Ew.

As of yesterday, it's been 3 years since my brother's left lung collapsed for (still) no apparent reason. He is still alive, still a pain, and now he's 21. He gave up a whole lot of things for the sake of Being There for his son, Jared, and I am proud of him for that. Even if he is still a jerk to me and mom a lot of the time.

For myself, this past St Patricks Day was the 4 year mark since the clot was found in my arm. Jer and I went to the Flogging Molly concert that happened at Tempe Beach Park and managed to last for a little more than 5 hours before both of us realized just how Bloody Tired we were. But we enjoyed ourselves and I had a loud and dance filled reminder of how nice it is to not only be alive, but also be in a better place.

Few nights ago, Jer and I also went to the Great Big Sea concert. We took Caradoc's other half, Jodi, with us. We had a blast. GBS was AWESOME**. And we had pretty good seats too, considering we were in the balcony.

And that's been the last two weeks in something of a nutshell. [to find photos of the last few weeks, check out my flickr--link is in my journal's sidebar]

**let's put it this way; they nailed their Perform and Luck rolls so well that people left the theater with grins on their faces and more bounce in their steps.
