Had Flamebyrd and her hubby over for the last day and a half. That was fun. They're just about the nicest people you will ever meet, and I just love to listen to them talk. Australian has always been my favorite accent, even when I can't figure out wtf she just said. ^^;
Best Aussie English vs US English clash of the day? "Bathers" Which is how they say bathing suit. Although Alex said there's a more informal word, which is apparently used mostly in Queensland?
Maybe next time they'll be able to stay a bit longer (and we won't be distracted by restringing dollies) and I can drag them down to the rose garden. Maybe not quite geeky enough for Alex, but it sure is pretty. ^_^ Or maybe I'll take them up on that Come-visit-us-in-Canada offer. I haven't been back in years, not since they started requiring passports. And apparently there's a train you can take so you don't have to drive all that way.
Not this year, though. Mom just sent me a message saying that the house in Idaho is finally going to sell, so I have to use the last of my vacation time to go up there and collect all the stuff I want to keep. x_@;;
