Some fun/funny MarsCon moments
Here were some of my favorite things about this year's MarsCon (in random order):
1. Playing in the pool with Luke, Steph, and Chris.
2. Interviewing lots of super-talented comedy musicians.
3. Being serenaded, in harmony, with a song about biting my hands off.
4. Having tea with Phil.
5. Dinner at I-Hop / I-Trot with the Dementia fun-bus riders.
6. Drum circle with my paper-clips and darbuka!
7. Karaoke.
8. Laughing so hard at Hot Waffles' Dementia Smackdown performance (with guests) that I fell off my chair.
9. Getting loads of hugs, and being non-touch tickled.
10. Making a fan-shirt for the Hot Waffles show, and getting to take Chris' coat when he took the stage.
11. Watching dementia artists on stage getting rushed by other dementia artists during certain songs.
12. There was no such thing as being "too nerdy".
13. Improv rap with Bob, Davroz, Bill, and Hiei.
14. Listening to DJ Particle talk about Moonpies.
15. Getting to answer to "Kornflake" instead of Kristen for a good 4 days.
16. Getting paged in Wal-Mart, not as Kristen, but as Kornflake!
17. Getting a recording of the Siamese Cat song with Luke, Chris M, and Steph... which, by the way, my family LOVED.
18. Talking about Jeff Dunham with Chris M, and watching Family Guy.
19. Listening to Davroz play his recorders.
20. Last, but not least: getting to see my Dementia Music friends who I've missed for entirely too long a time.
While I was worried that there was an impression that I was a snob, or disliked, just because I don't host a show on Dementia Radio, it turns out the people that count don't care. Yay. =) I'll go back to being my silly, happy, Kornflake-y self now, confident that I won't be scorned for being different.
