You say "Forget Me"...
I've been listening to lots of Pushstars and Chris Trapper music lately. Heck, I've been listening to lots of music just in general. The commute's almost 2 hours each way now that I work in glorious Cambridge, so the car radio / CD player gets lots of use.
In 2006, Chris Trapper came out with a solo album called "Hey You". Last week, I discovered said album. It's got this song on it called "Forget Me":
And you say "Forget me,
Forget me, forget me, forget me."
As soon as I finally try,
You won't let me, you won't let me.
Really, how does one successfully get away from someone who wants nothing to do with you, but also refuses to let you go?
Last week, I decided the solution was to never look back, and to refuse to move on.
A few seconds later, I realized how stupid an idea that was.
I don't have an answer. What I have is a future; whether I plunge headlong into it, or get dragged forward as I protest the whole way, I know where I'm headed.
Staying in the past is not an option.
