So the whole Eloise thing didn't work out. Basically what happened was that she was looking around the market a little and I lacked something or other which the other guy who won had. How's that for a convoluted sentence, neh? Anyway, no hard feelings really. It's just the first time I've ever been on the other end of the whole shopping around experience.

Anyway, went out last night with Shea for consolation dinner. We had a good long conversation about what she's going to do about all the guys hanging around her like pet dogs, looking up at her with their big puppy-dog eyes. Does feel a little odd to be talking about this with a recent ex, but I guess it is a good sign of me moving on that I can coherently chat about such things whilst also getting a huge sense of entertainment out of it. We managed to get dinner at Supper Inn.

Speaking of which when we arrived there we were at the top of the stairs and got a table in a couple of minutes. By the time we left an hour later, not only was it typically packed to the brim inside but we had to dodge people lining up all the way back down the stairs. So well-wishing them and assuring them of the high quality of the food seemed to be in order. It really is good food, but seriously folks if you want a table of four or more on the Thursday night before Long Easter Weekend, you've gotta book beforehand. Yes, it's Chinatown and all, but Supper Inn is a Melbourne landmark for the past few decades. Hell, even my PARENTS know about that place. *cough* Picked up a business card specifically for that.

Hmm, probably shouldn't have sculled down that sake so fast. *belch* Wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done. Dammit, forgot to ask Yoshi what days this weekend he's open. *curses*

So got to Metro pretty early only to discover that Go Go Bordello wasn't opening up for Flogging Molly. Mildly upset about that, but nowhere near as much as Sanna & Mikey about the whole shindig, let alone Metro's cut-throat drink prices. Still, the Go Set were alright, nothing special apart from those bagpipes. But it didn't truly go off until Flogging Molly came up and started playing. Wasn't really in the mosh pit proper, just a little to the sides. Yeah, collateral damage area. But still very close to the stage. It was awesome! It's great to see the performers clearly having as much if not more fun than the audience. Clearly something which I should rant and rave over, but I'm far too hungover and tired to be bothered. And let's face it, when I've got the energy to do so I'll be doing something else probably.

Moving right along, what else is on my Agenda? Let's see...
tonight: Catch up with Mickey & meet his new g/f & apartment. Probably in that order. Then enjoy Golden Monkey.
Tomorrow: Head to Minifest. I think I probably do some more prep work for that Iron Artist hosting schtick. Perhaps some more episodes of Iron Chef would come handy. Then Karaoke with Khoa et al! Woo!
Sunday: Jesse's cocktail party. Should be good. ^_^
Monday: Recovery. Do not disturb. Graaaaah.
...
Yeah, if I'm drawing a sober breath this weekend it will be a hungover "Oh god I need recovery items. Gimme healing potions now!" type of breath. And I'm out of OJ. Crap! I knew there was something I was meant to pick up from Safeway yesterday!

*cracks knuckles* Ok I guess I'd better get started on prep work.
Toodles.
