Okay, Lots to Report
You know how sometimes you find out everything all at once, and it's all during the week you don't have reliable internet to tell everyone? That was my week. To be fair, I still have my phone, so a lot of this already hit facebook.
Speaking of which, if you want to friend me, I'm under "Tyche Song" but be aware that I am not shy talking fan-fic and I might accidentally clue your friends in to the fact that you pay attention to the fandom if they see a random comment on your wall. I try to be good about it, but don't always succeed. I forget sometimes that not everyone has a fanfic identity on facebook and might not be already out to their friends.
Anyway, onward to my new (old) news:
* I am pregnant. Not quite seven weeks along. My first OB appointment is on 13 August, and at that point you will see ultrasound pictures go up of random black and white nothing with a lima-bean baby in a corner somewhere. We are first time parents (please no horror stories--I'm getting enough of that already and it's freaking me out), and we do not know the gender.
* My Mormor (grandmother) is quite probably dying of cancer and is not projected to last longer than a year. Which makes the baby news especially good timing, in my opinion. I found this out the same hour I found out I was pregnant, it was a very emotional hour.
* I will be, regrettably, no longer posting or updating stories on Granger Enchanted or Malfoy Manor. I will not discuss my reasons in public; suffice to say it is no longer an archive that I feel is a good match for me. I have made a lot of wonderful friends there, and I hope they will remain in contact with me, and that my readers there will continue to read me on another site. If you wish to know more details, I am available by private messaging. I will be continuing to post on The Maple Bookshelf, Here on LJ (see the main menu to the left for my continuously updated master list), and on Fanfiction.Net. I may also start updating on AO3 and Ashwinder, which I had semi-abandoned up to this point.
* REALLY loving the SSHG prompt fest entries--I have not commented on all of them (shame on me), mostly because I'm bad at commenting with my phone. For this same reason, I'm a week behind reviews on the latest chapter of Severus, Redux (about to be posted here). If you reviewed me on FFN, I'm terribly sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet--I haven't had decent computer access, and I will get to you by the end of tomorrow.
* My story, "Hermione's Favourite Gift" has won first place in the 2013 Spring/Summer round of the HPFanFicFanPollAwards for "Best Romance" in the Harmony category! Thank you so much, mysterious nominee, and everyone who voted and faved!!!
* "Hermione's Favourite Gift" and "Of Felines and Family" have also been chosen and posted to the HPPodFicFest, read by SusanMarieR and FinalBos. Thank you both so much! You have been unbelievably kind!
