Gonna Brag A Lil Bit
I'm done!!! Woo-hoo! I've submitted, and I've even submitted on time! This is only the second time I have successfully accomplished a challenge on time--the first being Hermione's Favourite Gift. This, as you might imagine, has me horribly relieved and slightly impressed with myself, since in general I'm terrible at deadlines and detonate my outlines for fun on a regular basis.
In the last two months that I've been mostly absent working on my fic, that particular story is now up for the spring/summer round of the HP Fan Fic Fan Poll Awards (Harmony: Best Romance) and has been selected for the Harry Potter Podfic Fest. On top of that, my drabble series Hold Me Whilst I Sleep has been translated to Polish, and the art count for Severus, Redux is now up to five! I am REALLY feeling the love, especially since I've only been actively writing fanfiction for a year and a half.
Now it's time for me to crack a hard cider and contemplate what to do next. I know what I should do. I should finish The Other Extreme and Resplendent. But...there were a lot of awesome prompts that were not chosen for the prompt fest, and I may decide to play with those instead. Or write some slash, because hey--why not? I'm feeling high on myself and I've never really tried slash before. Except once, while drunk during a FireWhiskey Fic Fest (I highly encourage you all to join that particular brand of fun), and frankly it doesn't count since I never turned it in. Here's a clue, while drunk, I saved it titled as "No. Just No." So clearly even drunk I knew there were things that should not see the light of day.
