Last day of hockey camp! *sad Karen*
It was awesome fun, and I am so glad I went! I totally feel like a hockey player now, complete with strange bruises, whee! Although the bruises on my legs either don't hurt as much, so they're either getting better, or I'm used to them. Probably the latter, cause they still hurt like a bitch when I push on them!
Wiped out hard today, faceplanted (thank god for my full cage!) and knocked the wind out of myself. It was okay, though, cause while I was catching my breath, I skated over to the bleachers and said hi to my mom and dad, who came to watch today. We did slapshots today, which was awesome. And then right at the end, we did a mock game, and I got an assist! I deflected a pass to one of my teammates, and he scored! It was sweet. :D
Then my parents drove me home, and they brought me pizza from them going out to dinner, mmm tasty! Heh... taking the bus I get home at 11pm, but with a ride, I got home at 10pm, damned bus schedule!
I think I might take another hockey course. There's one starting in September at a much closer arena to where I live, and I think will be geared much more towards my skill level. The description of the course says that full hockey equipment is not required, just a helmet and stick. Sounds like beginners to me! It's every Tuesday night from September 6th to October 18th, for an hour and a half. So I think I'll call tomorrow to see if they still have space. :)
And maybe get new skates, so that these ones don't completely destroy the backs of my legs...
