Fuck you. Fuck all of you. There is NO excuse for this. NONE. It's not like some guy popped out of a box months ago and said "Hey, the CBA expires tomorrow!" and it came as a big shock to all of you. And even you all have the collective brainpower of a watermelon (entirely probable) and it DID, there's no reason you couldn't have sorted this whole fucking mess out before it got to this point.
I'm not gonna point fingers, because god knows there's more than enough blame to go around both sides here, but if you actually did care about the game and the fans, as you claim you do, you wouldn't have let this happen. You wouldn't have gone for months without meeting only to have a flurry of 11th-hour talks just to get our hopes up and then dash them again.
Now I'm the first to admit that I haven't been following this very closely (mostly because the whole thing pisses me off and stresses me out) and I don't know all the fine legal details behind everything, but would it have been possible to bring in a team of independent, outside arbiters, unconnected to either side, to help deal with this? Would it have been possible to have those two arrogant assholes who are supposed to be in charge of this gunned down in the street? Wait... what do you mean that's illegal? Well, how about getting them fired? Can we do that?
I can't believe these idiots would let their petty power struggle destroy an entire season (and very possibly more) of the game I love. Obviously the fans don't mean shit to them, or they would have been in meetings EVERY FUCKING DAY to get this resolved. It's very obvious that neither of them have the word "negotiate" in their dictionary, or if they do, their definition of it is way different from the rest of us. It's the art of compromise, give and take, not saying "my way or the highway".
