NIN (again)

I'm going to make this short and sweet, because I'm finally coming off my concert high, and my body is informing me that I have been pushing it too much.

Went to NIN tonight (openers were TV on the Radio, and Bauhaus). Absolutely badass...which is to be expected. I have seen them 3 times on this tour (Dallas, Oct 17; OKC March 28, Dallas June 3), and each time the show was different. Different openers; different setlist; different video/special effects; and different energy levels.

I acted like a complete fool this go round...Dancing wildly to every song and high fiving random drunk people. I actually had to remind myself to not talk to too many strangers, since I was there with a female co-worker of mine, and not some "protective male" (which may have been what lead me to feel more free to act crazy).

I saw Rob Sheridan (the go-to-guy for pretty much all of NIN media...he does www.nin.com; made the video for "The Hand that Feeds"; does the promo art work; takes all the live pics/video; did tons of work on "All that could have been". I saw him at the show in Oct. but I didn't talk to him. Tonight I went up to him (since he was just a few feet away), and told him basically that he did really good work (thought of telling him that the code to www.nin.com was freaking badass, but didn't want to appear insane). He seemed sincerely happy that I complimented him (which for some reason wasn't the response I was expecting), and he thanked me. I probably should have tried to chat more, but I honestly figured he was very busy (since he was in the middle of doing his prime job).

The energy was way freaking intense. The only other thing I'm going to say is they played "Get Down Make Love"...GET DOWN MAKE LOVE!!!!

music, nin
