OK, listen up...

Those of you who know me know that I rabidly support John McCain and I doubt I would vote for his opponent in November. Even though I want McCain to win (I mean, what kind of supporter would I be if I wanted his opponent to win?), it doesn't mean I accept or approve of a  "no holds barred" attitude, particularly if one of the non-barred holds is ( Read more... )

I do have to say I gainws some respect for McCain when he disassociated himself with a man made racist charged comments about Obama during his rally. While I do think using Obama's middle name is not offensive, the man was implying that Obama was a Muslim and the comment "peel off the dark" is making a negative comment about being black. So, go McCain! I like how dignified he is being. Not like the raging sacastic nightmare, Mrs. Clinton.

Obama did not cover his heart during the Star Spangled Banner, not the pledge. Most people don't.

I completely agree that if he was Muslim (which he is not) it should not be an issue. Then again, Kennedy being Catholic was an issue during elections.

If he were Muslim, he would probably do better diplomatically when working with Muslim countries. Bush has already made it clear that we were fighting a Crusade against terror. The problem with this rhetoric is that Crusade means something very real to the Muslim countries. A Christian president calling this war a Crusade has truly outraged many non-extremist Muslims. So, having a Muslim president would be a blessing but Obama is not a Muslim.

Most churches that are culturally black are viewed as Black Supremacist. I don't know why, that just tends to happen. Everytime a black person wants to say, "Black is Beautiful" or attempt to be proud of their race and who they are, they are called Supremacists. I don't get it.

Another problem that the media is running with is every person that ever associated with Obama is being questioned about their personal conduct. Why should Obama have to answer for all the actions and beliefs of everyone he knows or comes into contact with? That is really not fair. Who cares who Obama knows, associates with, goes to church with. It should show that he is diverse enough to deal with any number of people, including Republicans.

Speaking of Republicans.

I'm so tired of hearing Clinton go on and on about evil Republicans and blaming them for everything. She voted on bills too. Obama wants to work with everyone. His issues, he says, aren't republican and democrate issues. They are issues that effect everyone and need to be discussed with everyone.

After the most recent debate between Hillary and Obama, I've developed a pretty firm hatred for Mrs. Clinton. She never answered for some of the accusations against Obama during the debate that she was talking about in her rallies. She accused the media of being too nice to Obama and attacking her too often. She needs to stop screaming victim. I also think she offended the media a little and they've gone after her for it.

Also, the biggest problem I have with her (as a republican you may enjoy this point) is her stance on health care. While I think she has a great plan, her statement about wanting to mandiate health care to prevent young college students who think they are invincible from overlooking this need. I was pretty upset. I saw at WKU how students who were just dropped from the families insurance were affected. I saw a girl apply for bankruptacy because of her medicial bills related to her problematic heart condition. Mrs. Clinton does not believe in the American people. She sounds like she thinks we are all stupid and need to be told how to live our lives.

You're completely right about him having to answer to everything everyone he's ever known somebody who knows somebody knows has done (I realize that was terrible grammar, but I'm a scientist, so it's OK). I didn't mention it too much here because it's something that almost everyone running for every office from president on down to dog catcher (do people actually run for dog catcher?) has to do. It does seem that he is coming under more scrutiny for it, though.

I love you.
