Haircut and other annoyances

I went to the hairdresser today to get a haircut. Just a haircut, no color, stripes or fancy stuff. I just wanted shorter hair. It never takes more than 15-20 minutes to get a haircut, so I reserved for 15.30 , as I had to be at work at 16, and I wanted to buy a memory card for my cell phone first (which I got, btw). So, I get in, get in the chair and check the watch. 15.30, all right. So first she (it's always a she) wants to wash my hair. Sure. So she first wash my hair once, then start massaging my head for like 10 minutes, before she washes a second time. Then back to the chair, where she starts trimming my way too long hair. And then she starts chatting. I always get the chatty ones. "So, what've you been doing the summer?" "Looking forward to going back to school?" Bleh. I hate it. Then she starts offering me something to read, something to dring and hair gel. No, no, no, I only wanted a friggin' haircut! Argh. I hate getting haircuts. I was finished about 2 minutes before I had to be at work, so I had to run. And they charge 400 kroner! WTF? Half an hour of cutting hair? 400 kroner? That's roughly 800 kroner AN HOUR! That's like, over $100.

Anyways, tough day at work too. School's drawing near, so a book store is not the ideal place to work. Lots of customers, and something went down on the computer system for about half an hour, which really sucks. And I'm finally sure the customers hate me. I went out for 5 minutes to get a milkshake (first went to McDonald's to save 25 kroner, but the line was too long), and when I got back it was pure inferno by the counter. There were two other people there, and still a crowd all around the place. It happens every time I go out, but never when anyone else does.

But it wasn't all bad. I learned what chestnut is in thai, but I forgot. I'll check again tomorrow. Also, the milkshake was delicious, as always. And someone had taken all the white drops, which one of the women working there loves so much, but all the red and black ones were left. >:D

Wow, that was really weird. o.O I hope not all my blogs are going to be like that.

work, rant
