The Shawshank Redemption

Jul 12, 2007 01:27

I just watched this. I had high hopes, as I loved The Green Mile, and this is often mentioned together with it (both are long movies written by Stephen King and directed by Frank Darabont, and they both take place in a prison), but it was even better than I ever dared hope for.

The story is about a man who is innocently convicted of murder on his wife and her lover, and gets the life sentence in Shawshank Prison. There isn't very much focus on a plot, much like The Green Mile, but it is an epic story of hope and friendship. I have rarely been as touched by any other movie, maybe except some of Makoto Shinkai's works. Definitly a 10/10.

Meh, too late to write a longer review, but watch it anyway! \o/

(Gawd, I love that picture. XDD)
