Truck!
I recently bought a Ford Ranger pickup. I expect to be transporting more heavy things in the future and I was getting sick of the FWD in the Volvo.
I borrowed grmbrand's Ranger a few years ago and I'm glad I did. There were a couple of features that I didn't know I wanted until I drove his truck.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. It drives, well, like a truck. I had one problem with the Rube Goldberg vacuum operated automatic hubs which I promptly replaced with old fashioned manual ones. Gas mileage is a bit worse than the Volvo but gas cost is about the same since its engine doesn't need high test. It handles our driveway with no problems.
