attended PWU-JMD (junior middle division). taft campus. we had to take at least 2 language classes then - spanish and nihonggo. my gad, i couldve excelled in spanish if it hadnt been for that nihonggo class, which required us to write in katakana (the very basic), hiragana (used when adopting foreign words like miruku for 'milk') and kanji (the chinese chars). it was plain agony. i guess most of my time was spent on learning japspeak. but i'd like to learn spanish again. *g* i feel so 'uneducated'. my sis can actually converse in spanish and nihonggo y'know.. :-) and she could read the credits in voltes v! LOL
ya i've read that poem in english. i was trying to translate it with my bare knowledge of spanish. i mean, like how it would literally translate from the native language.
wala akong masabi! that is so cool! i wish i had foreign language classes in school. before the abolition of spanish as a required subject, i was all for it's abolition. it's only much later that i realized, i could've profited much from it. sayang! yes, yes, if you have the time go learn spanish again. there's nothing to lose. hanep naman sis mo! now, i have to learn french. before even knowing i was going to actually be living in a foreign country, i wanted to learn french, inspiration came from the cornflake girl. ngayong balubaluktot na ang dila ko. i'm too old to learn new tricks.. but i'm learning... =Þ
i want to learn japanese, too. sa la salle, dapat nag-aral na ako ng lenguahe ng mga instik, mukha daw kasi akong instik, puro mura naman ang tinuro sa akin ng mga kaklase ko. hehehe and when i finish french, maybe i can be ambitious and learn spanish, too. at siguro lenguahe rin ng mga aleman. teka. teka. sumosobra na ako ng ambisyon. *LoL*

my sister studied french and romanian when she was your age. she says the trick is to *master* the syntax (and i happen to be an inept syntax learner). lol. i think my sister is fascinated with sentence structures and constructions. or maybe it's just because she took language teaching in grad school. medyo related naman ata ang mga wikang spanish, french at latin (?) kaya kung maalam ka sa isa madali mo nang matutunan ang iba. aleman? i find it phlegmatic!
ah im inspired. mag-aaral ako ng spanish this year =P
i can write the loneliest verses tonight
escribir, por ejemplo: "la noche está estrellada,
to write, for example: a starry night
i cut spanish classes in high school.
