Angel Master~ Chapter 3

“What?! Roshiel is . . . free?!” the golden haired female angel by the name of Autumn, yelled in disbelief and horror.
Xyver nodded gravely, “I watched him break out of the orb myself. . . . I guess the prophecy was fulfilled . . . .” 'A prophecy no one understood!'

He turned his violet gaze back to Autumn, “So, how goes it in your department?” he asked.

Autumn shook her head, “Still nothing. We've been searching for almost a millennium and a half, Xyver! What makes you think that we're suddenly going to-”

“I FOUND IT!!!!!” a voice shrieked suddenly, cutting Autumn off.

All movement in the room ceased instantly.

A young female angel with long white hair and dark, midnight blue eyes was on her feet, her eyes closed, and her hands enveloped in dark blue shimmering magic.

“I-I-I found a trail!” she stammered, shock, astonishment, and sheer joy nearly disabling her.

In the next second, both Xyver and Autumn were at her side, barely breathing with fleeting hope.

“Where is it, Shiika?!” Xyver snapped, his violet eyes burning.

“Miyazaki, Kyushu, Japan.” Shiika answered instantly, her eyes shinning.

Xyver turned back towards the crowd of angels.

“Alexzai-sama's soul had been located!” he yelled out, using magic to enhance his voice, so it reached those outside the scrying room, and throughout the Temple of Wonders.

Cheers erupted everywhere, and wild cries of delight, joy, relief, and praise could be heard for miles.

It was about ten minutes before the outcry had died down to an excited babble.

Xyver magicked his voice again, “Ariella, Ranshou, and Shiika, come with me! We leave to retrieve Alexzai-sama's soul; immediately!”

Shiva waited impatiently, pacing outside the Master Chamber of the Seraquin Palace, Alexzai's palace, now taken over by the followers of Roshiel.

The door opened quietly, and an elderly, silver haired female angel, older than most other angels in the palace, exited the massive, elegant bedroom.

“How is he?!” Shiva instantly queried.

The elderly angel eyed him with disdain.

“He sleeps.” was all she said.

“Sleeps?! He's been sleeping for nearly two thousand years! Why does he still need to sleep?!” Shiva yelled impatiently.

The older angel glared at him, silver eyes smoldering.

“That was more like a forcefully induced coma, rather than actual rest. He laid in stasis, in the exact same condition he went in, exhausted and his strength gone. So, of course he still needs rest. He also contracted a slight chill from the freezing air combined with the water, enchanted or not. He is not to be disturbed, or I'll want to know why. . . .” she said slowly, keeping in mind that this was Shiva she was talking to.

She tossed her silvery-grey hair over her shoulder and walked away, down the corridor.

Shiva blinked after her in astonishment, shaken by her directness.

No one but Xyver was that blunt with him.

He debated over ignoring the elderly healer's orders, and entering the room anyways, but decided against it, and set about pacing outside Roshiel's room.

He didn't get much time to stride back and forth, for at that moment, a courier angel flew down the hall at top speed.

“Shiva-sama!” he yelled, folding in his wings sharply, dropping to his feet before Shiva.

This angel was a young, brown haired, magenta-eyed male named Verh.

He was breathing hard from exertion, having flown the entire distance from where he came from, by the look of things.

“Shiva-sama . . . they . . . they found it. . . . They found it!” he wheezed, barely able to form the words between heavy breaths, his hands resting on his knees for support.

Shiva's ice blue eyes narrowed, “Who found what, Verh?! Spit it out!” he hissed.

“Xyver and his angels! They found Alexzai's soul! Just about ten minutes ago! Xyver has already led a scouting party down to the human realm to retrieve it!” Verh's words tumbled out in a rush.

Shiva's eyes went wide.

'Okay, who cares what the healer said, this is worth waking Roshiel-sama for!'
