internet providers

has anyone used net zero for internet service? its wicked cheap and it makes me think that there is something wrong with it. im thinking about getting net zero internet and the getting direct tv's basic package. net zero is 10 bucs a month and direct tv is like $50 and thats WAY cheaper than comcasts deal for TV and internet for almost $100. fuck ( Read more... )

netzero is dial-up (a.k.a. slow) and direcTV makes you stay with them for at least a year (it might be two years) or else you have to pay for the equipment. plus with the comcast deal you get a phone line with unlimited calling, whereas netzero doesn't work unless you get a phone line from verizon, which is sure to cost you around the $50 you would have saved by not using comcast.

My suggestion is direct tv, plus verizon dsl lite, plus a cell phone. the dsl lite is still fast enough and is about 20 bucks a month.

hmm i should definately look into the dsl lite. do you know if direct tv makes you sign the contract for a year or more?

you still need to pay for a home phone line for any dsl line to work.

that used to be true, but not anymore. i have verizon dsl with no phone line.
