Hey, look! An actual post!

Life's been a little crazy these past few months, and with Brad's kids being here, the eleven-year-old boy is usually hogging the computer.

Yeah, the kids have been living with us full-time.  I won't go into the reasons why, I don't feel that it's my place to tell that story.  The point is that they've been with us since the middle of May.  It's been quite hectic around here, a little crowded, but it's been nice.  I love having all the kids here.  I love bedtime, when either Brad or I will read them a story and they ask all sorts of questions and we talk.  And playing games with them, or doing crafts with them.  All these stupid, simple things, I love doing with these kids.  And now, I'm really, really missing them.

They're with their mom this week, and I've been a little lonely in the mornings without them.  I'm trying to keep busy, though.  Brad and I switched bedrooms with the kids over the weekend so they won't have a bedroom that feels like living in a submarine.  So, I've been working on setting their new room up.  But, I guess we're going back to the kids only being here on weekends again.  Their mom has changed her mind, yet again, about Brad having custody of his kids.  It's really aggravating having her change her mind every other week about this, and just as we were really setting up everything for the kids to be living here with us.  I feel so sorry for the kids, having their stuff schlepped around back and forth.  We moved them in middle of May, then after school ended they moved in with their mom.  A couple weeks later, they were back with us.  And, yeah, now she wants them back with her.

So, that's mostly what's been going on with me lately.  Oh, I'm having teeth pulled next Friday.  Yay!  I've been in a lot of pain from my rotten teeth over the last few months, so I'm having five teeth extracted.  Super fun.  I'm looking forward to it.  No, really, I am because hopefully, there will be no more constant pain.

Elizabeth is doing well.  She gets into anything and everything, gets mad and pouts when I tell her "no", but then gives awesome hugs and kisses that melt my heart.  She's still not talking, but she tries to mimic sounds a lot, and she understands quite a bit of what I say to her.  And, she's picking up new signs rapidly, so we communicate rather well.  Eating with her is still a struggle, some days she eats everything I put in front of her, some days she barely eats.  But, according to David, she eats everything for his mom, who watches her during the week, so I know she's eating, just not for me.

Well, I'm gonna end this here, 'cause I took way too long typing this out and I gotta go get ready for work.  I really don't want to go, but having money for food is something I kinda need.
