1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Attended a Europa League away match and shared a hotel room with someone I had only met once before and didn't know online! It was BRILLIANT! :D
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
In my 2010 post, I wrote that I wanted (1) to do more sports, (2) to perfection my Spanish, (3) to write more fic than last year, (4) to read more than 100 books, (5) to send out my Christmas mail in time, and (6) to stress myself as little as possible doing all these things. I got myself a gym membership and am going there more or less regularly with my dad, so I clearly didn't fail at this. I also improved my Spanish, though I still make tons of stupid mistakes. I wrote more fic than last year (which will be the subject of a different post). I didn't manage to read more than 100 books (I think - I still have to check that). I sent out my Christmas mail in time this year! YAY! Though there was still quite a lot of stress involved. XDD
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
The Basque Country (2x), Germany, England, Austria.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
Javi Martínez. Awesome Spanish skillz. XD
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
So many! My trips to Bilbao/the Basque Country, because it's my favourite place in the world. Stalking the Uruguayan NT and No Te Va Gustar with bibi_bloom! The time I spent with july_v in Berlin, Augsburg and Munich because she's my princess and I love her to bits. The trip to London with the awesome blue_eyed_miss, and the Athletic friendly, and the bar-hopping with three Basques which was a great opportunity to speak Spanish. Also, moving house in July. And this year's Christmas, because all the attention I got made me feel really really special. :)
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Probably getting that gym membership! XDDD
9. What was your biggest failure?
No idea! I can't say I failed at anything particularly important - well, except at life, maybe. XD
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Apart from that chronic stuff that I have, no.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Everything I bought in the Basque Country. XD Once again I spent loads of money there, but money exists to be spent, and there is no better way than to spend it on stuff you love, so it's all worth it. :D
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My family's, most important of all, for always being there for me and helping me, especially when I moved into my new flat. Also, the behaviour of my friends, especially my online friends, who are an awesome, awesome bunch of people. :D And finally, the behaviour of Kike Sola, who replied to two of my tweets! XD
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
There are tons of idiots in the world but there's no point in wasting even one single second thinking about them.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Apart from groceries and household stuff and the like? Probably DVDs and football. XD
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Travelling, meeting awesome people, moving into my new flat, and watching Athletic. Even though they give me heart attacks in every match, I'm always ridiculously excited about watching their matches. :)
16. What song will always remind you of 2011?
Probably "Bihar" by Ken Zazpi, because I listened to a LOT of music in Euskera last year and to this song in particular.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
I. Happier or sadder? Happier!
II. Thinner or fatter? Maybe more or less the same, I don't remember how much I weighed last year. XD
III. Richer or poorer? Couldn't say! Probably the same!
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Sports.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wasting time being lazy, eating crap, procrastinating. (That never changes. XD)
20. How did you spend Christmas?
With my family. I'm going to make a proper post about Christmas soon!

Every day anew with my Athletic. :)

A gentleman never tells.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
Game of Thrones. Oh, how I adore it.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't really hate anyone important.
25. What was the best book you read?
The A Song of Ice and Fire series. I actually read it twice because I loved it so much.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
No Te Va Gustar! I saw them live with bibi_bloom and even got to talk to a guy from the band, and they absolutely rocked!!!!
27. What did you want and get?
Dependable friends, happiness, and enough money to lead a sorrow-free life.
28. What did you want and not get?
A friend who's into football and lives close by.
29. What was your favourite film of this year?
From Beginning to End really impressed me, but there are several others I enjoyed a lot!
20. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was (and still am) 27 and had a fantastic time with some friends in my favourite local bar, La Bomba. Pictures are here, in case anyone is interested. (Filtered post, sorry.)
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Living in Bilbao. Athletic reaching the Copa del Rey final. Or, generally, having a body like Fernando Llorente. ;)
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Fashion concept? *laughs madly* If I have to find a name for the way I dress, it would probably be "alternative" or "not like everyone else". XD
33. What kept you sane?
My family and friends, probably. Though they didn't manage to do anything about my general insanity. XD
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Javi Martínez. That hasn't changed either, and I doubt it ever will. ;)
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
"Honour" killings. It never ceases to appal me how backward and idiotic people can be. And how stupid the German courts can be in those cases.

Because I did a lot of travelling last year and met amazing people and this sums it all up very well. Also, it's a brilliant song.
