This is Diego.
He's 31 years old, was born in Montevideo (i.e. in the most awesome country in the world because it sounds like "you are gay"), and comes from a family of footballers.
There are a lot of awesome things about Diego.
First of all, his nickname, "Cachavacha", which doesn't just sound funny but is also the name of
a famous Argentine cartoon witch. XD I cannot get over the awesomeness of this.
But as the following pics prove, Diego is infinitely better built than her:
He also is a wonderful person because he represents Unicef and supports Uruguayan kids:
And on top of it he's an amazing footballer. So amazing, in fact, that I can forgive him for this tiny character flaw:
Playing for Atlético Madrid. XD
Although he used to play for Villarreal (which is awesome), and he also won the Golden Boot twice:
He was bound to catch my attention some day, and this finally happened during the past few weeks when the World Cup was underway in South Africa.
As I said, he plays for Uruguay, which is a most awesome team and will be picspammed some more when I have more time.
Let's have some pics of him in action!
He's quite good at close-ups, too.
And at training:
Sometimes things are not going well for him during a game:
He usually deals with that by:
- Looking extremely dishevelled when delivering a free-kick (or corner-kick):
- Fiddling around with his hairband:
- Performing a spontaneous (albeit always very incomplete) striptease on the pitch:
But most of the time things are going really well for him:
And everybody in the Uruguayan national team loves him:
Especially one of them, his boyfriend striker colleague Luis Suárez:
And Diego, who isn't just Uruguay's top striker but also a great vice-captain, cares a lot about and for his teammates:
And his fans too, of course:
This deserves a round of applause:
No, Diego, I don't mean you should applaud yourself. There are plenty of people to do that for you.
In fact, what he did during the FIFA World Cup impressed certain influential people at the FIFA so much that they decided to reward him with the Golden Ball, the trophy for the most valuable player of the tournament.
I don't have any pics of that yet, though, so let's have some more Golden Boot pics.
And as you can see, Diego is all set for celebrating his achievement with me, so if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go join him in that bed now. XDD
Thanks for your attention!
