one, two, three, four - double!

1-0 Robben (pen.)
2-0 Olić
3-0 Ribéry
4-0 Schweinsteiger

I expected much from this game, for instance that it should be a good game and that Bayern should play well, but I never would have expected this outcome.

It's not even just the score itself - though a four-nil against the German league's third best club (according to the final league table) deserves to be admired, of course.

It's also the way this four-nil was achieved. Constant pressure, quick forechecking, early attacking. Clever tackling, accurate passing, clever creation of free space. And not giving up fighting even when you're 3-0 up in the 80th minute and your opponent has basically surrendered his sword to you.

This Bayern team is special, not just because it wins titles but because it's a team with a good character, as Bastian Schweinsteiger put it so well in the post-match interview. There seems to be an awesome atmosphere in the team, one that motivates every single player to do his best every time he steps on the pitch, no matter whether he's a star, a starlet, or a supplement. Everyone submits himself and his own interests to the ones of the club, and not even the designated benchwarmers are complaining. After years of divas and unpredictables, this is a more than welcome change, and I'm grateful to everyone at Bayern, especially Louis van Gaal, Hermann Gerland, and the players themselves, for making this possible.
