1-1 in Nürnberg (17th). 1-1 in Köln (13th). 2-1 in Frankfurt (8th). 1-2 against VfB Stuttgart (7th), resulting in the loss of the 1st spot to Schalke.

2-1 against Manchester United.Does anyone understand this? I don't. It's completely and utterly beyond me how Bayern can play so horribly badly and lose (or draw) against teams that are, quality- ( Read more... )

OMG, HELLO!! I missed you loads! But don't pay attention to that, enjoy your semester break! :D

I agree completely, their performance was the best I've seen in quite a while, and this time it was against one of the best teams in the world. (I might hate ManUtd, but there's no denying they're excellent competition.)

I suppose I should be surprised that we won this despite the fact that Robben didn't play, but if I remember correctly, neither Robben nor Ribéry was on the pitch when we beat Juventus in the second leg. I'm starting to think that we actually have a chance against teams with lots of individual quality as long as we fight as a collective. ;)

The funny thing is that next Wednesday I'll be in Liverpool and if I had expected the first leg to be like this, I would have tried to get tickets and travelled to Manchester for the evening. XDD So yes, I'm very envious right now. But I'm going to watch Liverpool's Europa League match against Benfica at Anfield on Thursday, thanks to sebastiona, and that's more than enough to console me over missing the opportunity to watch Bayern. Also, it might be a good thing I'm not at the stadium because I don't want them to get thrashed and listen to the jeers and mocking of the Manc fans. ;)

I was pretty doubtful about our coach but he proves more and more often that he's an excellent strategist. I suppose he's confident that Bayern will win against Schalke at the weekend, so he thought fuck it, let's not make an effort against Stuttgart, we can always get the top spot back. ;) (Not that he's ever lacked confidence, of course. XD)

Though I'd be happy with Schalke winning the league if we win the Champions League. [/unrealistic idealism] XDD

OMG, and what a fucking awesome game that was! :D Anfield is a fortress, seriously, and the fans carried the team until the very last minute. But I'll write more about it soon. :D

Heh, you know that in case both Liverpool and Hamburg reach the final, my sympathies would be with Liverpool entirely (especially since it seems that the only way for them to qualify for Europe next season is to win the Europa League). Sorry. But if Atlético make it to the final (which I don't hope), then I'm all for Hamburg, definitely. XD

Oh, and I guess you understand that I don't want Germany to get far in the World Cup. I just really really want Löw gone. ;)

I agree, though, that Bayern probably won't be able to beat Barcelona. I definitely don't want them to meet, so if the Football God likes me at the moment, he'll make Inter win the second leg. ;) I'd be forever grateful. XD

Good luck to Hamburg, I'm sure that despite the rather awful result this weekend, they can beat Fulham. :)
