Today, there was the Olympics final between Argentina and Nigeria. I set my alarm at 6am but then was too tired to get up, so I slept till nine, knowing that I had taped the match at
OnlineTVRecorder. The taping worked out fine, but due to some weirdness, I couldn't download it until about 1pm. *sigh*
So I decided to ignore my flist so I don't accidentally read the result anywhere and went to watch the semifinals first. I was bored out of my mind for almost the entire first half (except when Messi had the ball), and the second half wasn't that much more exciting except for the goals, Messi's speed-dribblings (♥) and Romero's saves. And it wasn't even Argentina's fault. They played extremely well in the second half and completely dominated Brazil, but the Seleção were so unbelievably bad that even Derby County (no disrespect!) would have scored at least one goal against them. The red cards against Lucas and Thiago Neves were ridiculous, though. Oh, and I had to snicker at the fact that Kun's first goal was a plain handball. Did his father-in-law-to-be teach him that? *grins* All in all, it was a muchly deserved victory for Argentina, of course.
I left the flat about 3pm to watch the Bayern game at my uncle's and was planning to watch the Olympics final upon my return. Well. It's 8.45 now, the download is only at 64%, and my friendspage is exploding BUT I CAN'T LOOK AT IT YET. *headdesk*
This is all I'll say about the Bayern game.
Transfer season is getting slightly insane. Petrić going to HSV made me WTF already, but... Sheva back to Milan and Pizarro back to Bremen (albeit on loan)? Clearance sale at Chelsea? Anyway, about time in Sheva's case. I'm no Sheva fan, or Milan fan, or Chelsea fan, but all the hassle about him being so unhappy at Chelsea annoyed me, and I'm glad it's over. The only worrying thing is this: When I recently looked at the number of strikers in the service of this season's CL teams, both Bayern and Milan were last with three strikers each. Now Milan bought a fourth one. If that isn't a broad hint, I don't know what is.
In completely unrelated news:
New McFly video. I find it pretty interesting that they chose to make a single of a song that hasn't been on the Mail Pre-release. ;) Anyway, very neat video! I don't get the story at the beginning, and with the dancing scenes and the poppiness of the song, I was occasionally reminded of the Backstreet Boys, but other than that, nice. :D
And since Iker has worked wonders at cheering me up recently:

I don't understand anything (well, almost anything), but OMG, so pretty. (And am I mistaken or is this one of the very few interviews in which he smiles? XD)
