Have to restrain myself from stealing all the FCB ones - OMG #14 - how does Rense always manage to look like such an überslut? Well, if his footie career ever fails, he can always go into pornos. I'd buy 'em. #21? You just had to know I'd trip all over myself stealing that one *wicked grin* And #25... even if I wasn't hopelessly infatuated with Micho, this icon alone would do it!

I also love the Liverpool ones (just got home from watching England dominate the USA down at the pub... Gerrard... mmmmmhhhhhh...) and Diego - oh my, those ones are beyond hot. I'm not even a Diego fan and those 2 make me drool.

The game was a bit boring; England won but could have done more. But it was fun to watch it here in London - the guys I was sitting with at the pub made more players' hair comments then most of the fangirls I know!

"Stevie G" scored the second goal, it was lovely. And John Terry got tears in his eyes when the guys all hugged him after his first goal. Made me get tears in my eyes, too! (random comment - saw an interview on Sky TV where Owen Hargreaves referred to Gerrard as "Stevie G" - plot bunny jumped all over the place!)

Aw, John Terry. I have a soft spot for him, and even though he shouldn't have taken that decisive penalty against ManU in the CL final, I feel sorry for him. I'm glad he scored against the US. :)

I guess you can be glad you missed the OTP until now, because recently there has been so much badfic about Stevie and Xabi that most people abandoned the pairing. It makes me really sad because you're right, they are a match made in heaven, and I love them together. (There are lots of subtextual pics that I could send you if you're interested.)

Well, the thing is, Stevie/Xabi is a very obvious pairing, so lots of people used to write it. Most of them, unfortunately, didn't really have awesome writing skills and therefore, there's a lot of really horrible Stevie/Xabi stuff out there. You know, fics in which they act like teenage girls, fics with fluff/sugar overdose, fics with lots of grammar/spelling mistakes, etc. That's why the pairing isn't really that popular with good writers right now. :/

I think you've fed my Xavi/Stevie plotbunny to the point where it's gotta get to work, or risk lying obese in the corner with a tummyache. And since neither of us want that - off I hop to start writing them!

*dares to ask* Would it be sacriledge to let Owen play a part?? (he's been one of my favourites for years now, and I'd feel more comfortable writing a new OTP if I knew at least one of the characters well...) I'd find a way to write all 3 only if I can keep it from being overly angst-y, though... enough of that in RL thank-you-very-much!

Your dorkiness is one of the reasons why I love you, but you should know that! :D (And you seem to be rather cool about me being a dork, too, after all! XD)

I love Xavi because he's so adorable. I don't really find him that attractive, but everytime I see pics of him (especially the ones in which he looks rather pouty and sad - and he seems to have a lot of those!), I want to glomp him. Also, he's a damn good footballer, so I admire him a lot. :D But yeah, I don't think he'd go that well with Stevie, to be honest, so I had to say something. XD

I'm in the middle of a threesome, it'll still take a while. (*LOL* How that sounds... XDDD)
