Can't wait for the Euro either! On Saturday, it will be the last matchday in the Bundesliga, and then I'll probably be on cold turkey until the Euro starts. :D

Okay, so FA Cup final tomorrow, CL final May 21st, what else? The Russian League is in full swing, but I don't know if they'll show it here. :( There are still 5 games to go in the Argie league. Also Colombia and Mexico have playoffs. I guess I'll still have a fair bit of footie to watch. :D

Hee! :D How many movies have you watched already? (I assume you haven't watched the last four yet, have you?) And no, it's absolutely NOT pointless to review/write slashfic/post picspams on HH! The fandom isn't really too active at the moment, but there's a bit of activity left! If you want, I can rec you communities and stories - I have a couple of good HH stories on my harddisk and in my memories. :) (Also, I've written a couple of my own. *cough*)

They don't show the Russian league here - I even doubt they'll show the FA Cup final. But I definitely won't miss the CL final, even though I could care less about who wins, I don't like either team. ;)

OMG!!! I bought the whole HH collection from this kid for $50 bucks! All eight films and I've watched them ALL!!! I made brief notes during each one, but I intend to go back and watch them all over again and try to pick up on all the nuances. I would so LOVE to check out your recs for comms and stories, starting with your own!!! I would SO LOVE to read your fics on HH!!! In fact I'm sitting here drooling just thinking about it!!! I did find an LJ comm on HH that seemed pretty dead. (But I stole some of their icons!!! LOLZ. Although I haven't uploaded them yet!)

I don't particularly like Man Utd or Chelsea either, but since there's so little footie left, I'll watch anything (other than the MLS that is!!!)XDD

I can recommend hh_slash, hornblower_fic, ltbush, pellegrinations, crumpeteers, hh100 - or check out despatches they have weekly (or something) updates on everything that goes on in naval fandoms (like nachgetreten).

My Hornblower fic recs are here (more here), my own fics are here (look for "Hornblower" or "Crossover" - I've written some crossovers involving Hornblower and PotC). Also, do check out black_hound's awesome artwork. :) If you're interested in fanvids, I could upload you some that I really enjoyed - and annoy you with mine, maybe. XD

LOL. Aww, I thought your fics were so cute! I will leave proper comments when I have a bit more time and can think about want I want to say properly. I am reading some of the rec fics and they are really, really good! I want to read more and check out those sites more thoroughly before I comment on anything.
