derby time...
Thanks to the absolutely wonderful bavarian_angel, last Saturday was an absolutely brilliant day for me. She had bought tickets for the Munich derby (Bayern München vs 1860 München) and kindly invited me to join her. However, it would have been a shame if we had just met up for the game, so we decided to spend some more time together in Munich.

Good game review - I fell off my barstool when Striker Dan came into the game. But I was SO MAD - stuuupid BR (the local station broadcasting the game) hardly showed him at all... so I had no idea what he did on the field. Lucky you - got to see him live and in action!! (OK, here comes a stupid Fangirl comment-- what on earth posessed him to wear that funny little white elastic headband-thingy? Even my husband noticed it and said something - and he's so NOT a Fangirl... he said "it looks like he's wearing his girlfriend's panties around his head.) Poor me, I'd just climbed back up onto my barstool, and promptly fell off again, this time in a helpless fit of laughter... (sorry Dani... but what were you thinking???)
BUT - you missed one thing... after Micho's little, uh... *cough* misunderstanding that led to his *mumbles* yellow card, my God, you should have seen the close-ups on TV. I mean I'm 100% for fairplay, and 100% against stupid violence in football (get a grip, watch ice hockey if that's your thing). You should have SEEN him pwn his 1860 opponent... my God... the man doesn't need words, or even to lift a hand - just the way he stepped up to him, stuck out his chest, and that LOOK on his face... wow. I melted.
Thanks for the review - it's always fun to read someone else's perspective, especially someone who saw it live!

I have no clue! But I'd really love to know, too! I didn't think it was too ugly, it actually kind of suited him, but you're right, it looked funny. :)

DSLKFJSLDKF. OMG. I couldn't really see what happened, didn't even know who got the yellow card (it didn't show on the screens, and when the referee held up the card, Lucio and Micho were standing next to each other), so I really need to check if I can download the match somewhere, because I NEED TO SEE THAT. *fans self* Too hot. And you're right, I'm all for fair play myself, too, but Micho stepping up to someone makes my knees go weak. His presence on the pitch is breathtaking.

Guess the panty thing (lace tanga, to be precise) is his new look - in any case, he got a goal last night *wheeeeeeeee!!!* so I'm going to quit complaining about it.
Do try to find the clip of his yellow card - I have no idea where to look, or I'd go hunting myself. MY GOD - what that man manages to radiate on the pitch - it's beyond breathtaking. WOW.
