OMG, I have so many things to write about and so little time. *flails*
eskimofrommars, you're SPOILING me!! Thank you so much for the awesome package! The Philippines are really beautiful, I was amazed! I can't wait to put the pretty postcards on my wall! Will definitely take a photo for you! And that letter was so adorable, you actually made me blush! *glomps* Thanks also for the great calendar! I currently don't have any free nail on my walls, but as soon as I've remedied that, I'll put the calendar up too! :D I'm really glad I haven't sent you the postcard I promised you yet, because I'm going to include a bit more now! (Sometimes it's an advantage to be incredibly slow with things. ;) ) Maybe I find a nice postcard set of Germany, or something FC Bayern related. :)
In other news, I've been back at work since Monday, and it's been insane.
It seems that while I was away, lots of computers and programmes stopped working just like that, and when I returned, everyone called me to fix them. I spent the whole of Monday running from one office room to the other to fix something. And then, my boss told me to write a report about the progress with the database I'm actually supposed to fill. I also didn't have time for my morning break on Monday and Tuesday and had to eat my breakfast in the afternoon. Fortunately, my colleague has been very helpful, and when I told him to take one assignment off me, he did it without protesting, and rather promptly too (read: I told him to do it in the morning and he did it in the afternoon of the same day, which is progress). Today was a bit better, I even got to take a morning break and reply to some old posts I had saved to my harddisk. I've decided to be optimistic. :)
The only thing that's still bothering me is that I've been incredibly tired in the mornings since my holiday. I didn't stay awake for too long whilst I had guests, so I can't really explain it. Maybe my body was just exhausted and needed some rest - and didn't get it until yesterday, because I spent Monday and Tuesday night browsing youtube for McFly videos. (Damn, I wouldn't have expected them to be that addictive. I've known that band for a bit longer than a week now and I can't get enough of them already.)
But apart from work and McFly, there was also football this week! :D Yesterday, in fact. The Bavarian lottery has a contract with Bayern München and is allowed to choose an opponent for them for a friendly every year. AND - this year, they chose FC Augsburg, my home club! :D Yes, the FC Augsburg that recently bought Michael Thurk (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Marco Küntzel (Energie Cottbus). The game was actually quite good for a friendly, and both teams took it seriously. I didn't bring my camera to the match because it hates dark backgrounds and bright floodlights and produces bad-quality photos, sorry.
FC Augsburg: Neuhaus - Möhrle, Hertsch, Benschneider, Wenzel - Hdiouad (Mölzl, 57'), da Costa (Hlinka, 57') - Kern, Müller - Thurk (Strauß, 86'), Diabang (Luz, 57')
FC Bayern: Kahn (Rensing, 34') - Sagnol (Lahm, 46'), Lucio (Breno, 46'), Demichelis, Lell - Altintop (Fürstner, 81'), van Bommel (Schweinsteiger, 46'), Ottl, Sosa (Kroos, 46') - Toni (Klose, 46'), Schlaudraff (Wagner, 81')
Goals: 0-1 Toni (20', assist by Sosa), 0-2 Klose (64', assist by Schlaudraff), 1-2 Wenzel (81', deflected)
I felt a bit strange when my uncle and I arrived at the stadium. As if time had just been turned back! After all, the first Bayern match I watched when I was a kid was a friendly against FC Augsburg, at this very stadium. I'd been there with my dad, my grandpa and my uncle, and even though I don't remember any details about the match, let alone who won, I remember how I felt, wrapped in my rain poncho watching the players from the stands.
This time it didn't rain, but it was quite cold, and I was glad to have brought warm clothes. I should have brought earplugs too, though, because the kids behind me were pretty annoying. They were FCA fans, judging from the scarves and hats they wore, and they claimed to be experts of Bayern and talked about them excessively. It takes a lot to annoy me, but 30 minutes of "Who's that guy? Is that Toni Kroos?" - "No, that's not Toni Kroos! Toni Kroos is that guy over there!" is enough, especially since that kid who apparently knew everything kept confusing Toni Kroos with Sandro Wagner. WTF. They don't even have the same height, let alone haircut. Also, there was a girl behind me who kept asking "Who is that guy with the ponytail there?" during the warm-up, and I was tempted to turn around and finally tell her, but then suddenly, someone answered and MISPRONOUNCED Micho's name. Again. The stadium moderator mispronounced it, too, when he read the line-ups. I was close to tearing my hair out. But the biggest annoyance came later. Micho committed two fouls during the first half, and when he took the ball of an FCA player after the second one WITHOUT committing a foul this time, the girl behind him said "That Demichelis is an asshole." Erm, excuse me? Of course, I don't like it when Micho fouls, but when he doesn't, one should give him credit for his skills. Dammit.
I'm overreacting, so I'll better stop ranting about this. And I have to go to bed soon anyway. I just want to mention that I really liked the performances of Schlaudraff, Sosa (one assist and one almost-goal, OMG, I was so proud ♥), Klose and Kroos. And of Micho, of course. Lucio didn't do much, and Breno did even less, but he showed some effort. I'm still not quite convinced about him, but people I've talked to liked his performance, so I'll keep my eyes open. Altintop ran a lot but didn't achieve much by that. Andi Ottl was very good during the second half, I hope he'll keep that up. Kahn had himself substituted because of NOTHING (really, I was rather disappointed at his attitude), but that meant Rensing got to play, which is awesome, especially since he got to make some very good saves. Oh, and I'm amazed at Luca Toni. All he seemed to be doing during the first half was stumbling over the ball and consequently losing it, but somehow he managed to score a goal despite that. Fascinating.
If you want to know more about the game, just ask. I'll try to answer all your questions - if I can, that is. :D
One last thing before I go to bed. A couple of days ago,
manuanya told me she was looking for acoustic versions of McFly songs and I took some off youtube. Of course, it's not CD quality, but it's better than nothing, and the performances speak for themselves anyway. :) In case anyone is interested:

And this, because it made me adore McFly even more than before:
Ghostbusters (live at Wembley, Motion in the Ocean Tour)
And three football-related McFly videos. I love it when fandoms collide. XD
1.
McFly playing table football (or pretending to). Besides that, they talk about throwing grapes and their "new" (2004) video. Oh, and they show some dance moves. I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I watched that vid.
2.
A short clip of Danny playing in a charity match. Including a great view of his butt and a trick that made me laugh. :D
3.
Danny's top five football players. (I'm still totally floored - in a good way - about him including Paul Gascoigne, OMG.)
Right. Bed. Now.
