God, I don't believe this. I'm so glad it's over, I wouldn't have been able to bear another second. I'm weeping like a baby and my whole body is shaking from the excitement - and yes - fear. Fear and worry, and sadness. I was particularly worried because my two favourite Argentineans couldn't save the day, and I don't even want to think about what people would have said about them if we had lost. Micho has never been a top scorer when it came to penalties, and Sosa was damn nervous, I could feel it. And they did so well during the match, Micho was a wall in the defence and distributed the ball cleverly and calmly, just like I know him - and Sosa showed a first glimpse of the brilliance he's capable of, had a good overview and didn't get fouled that often anymore. I wouldn't want anyone to judge them on the wasted penalties only, they deserve praise. I wish I could hug them right now. Them - and van Buyten, who had two excellent chances and maybe even recommended himself for the position next to Miro Klose until Toni, Schlaudraff and Podolski are back. And Hamit Altintop, because he worked so hard, and the penalty was just bad luck.

Thanks, Olli. You're definitely today's hero. You, and the others who scored, especially Ribéry and Lahm. ♥

Bayern played beautiful football, and even though I probably had a million heart attacks during those 120 minutes, I'm proud of them. And I'm also proud of Manuel Riemann, because he defended his castle like a god, really. If my recording of the match worked out, I must share the pre-story about Wacker Burghausen with you, in which Riemann dressed like a knight and defended other knights wearing masks of Bayern players. It was absolutely adorable.

Must go to bed now, otherwise I'll collapse.
