You really wouldn't believe what the prospect of a Liverpool FC vs SV Werder Bremen match can inspire people to wear. The jerseys we saw on people included:
- Liverpool FC (duh.)
- SV Werder Bremen (duh.)
- national team England (understandable)
- national team Germany (understandable)
- national team Spain, Luis García (aww ♥)
- national team Switzerland (... well, a BIT understandable, since the match was in Switzerland)
- Everton, Tim Cahill (erm... ?)
- Chelsea, Frank Lampard (??)
- Manchester United, Wayne Rooney (wtf?)
- AC Milan. No, I'm not kidding. WTF?????????? If it hadn't been a kid wearing that jersey, I would have kicked the person out. You just don't go to a Liverpool match wearing an AC Milan jersey. It is NOT DONE.
Anyway. On to the warming-up. :D I guess I don't have to say much about it, let the photos and videos speak for themselves. Keep in mind that I didn't use any zoom for the videos. They really were that close. :D
Note: Pics edited and re-uploaded on August 19th 2008.
There are only a couple of Werder pics and they're not really the best, I'm sorry. They were too far away.
As you can see, Peter Crouch is on almost all of those pics. *LOL* I swear that wasn't on purpose. I do love the guy, but I'm definitely not his biggest fan in the world. He was just damn difficult to avoid. *LOL* And I have to admit I was mesmerized by his thin legs. They look like toothpicks! It's a miracle to me that they can hold his weight!
And there's a lot of John Arne Riise, too. This has two reasons. First of all, he really liked jumping around right in front of my eyes and didn't want to go too far away from me (though I really don't know why). And secondly... well... There is
this pic of his naked ass that
theellibu showed me a couple of days ago. Whenever I saw Riise, I thought of the pic, ergo his naked ass. Therefore, I couldn't help focusing on him. Oh, and can I just say that it's DAMN difficult to concentrate on the match (and on the warming-up, for that matter) when everything you can think of all the time is John Arne Riise's naked ass? *blushes* I suppose I should be grateful Rafa Benítez subbed him after 45 minutes... ;)
Also, I tried my best to take a good pic of Pepe Reina, but the guy was too fast for me. He did some exercises with people on the other side of the field who kicked balls at him, and sometimes, the ball flew a bit too far, and he turned around to pick it up. I took out my camera, switched it on, turned on the zoom - and by then, Pepe had already turned around again. *SIGH* But he's definitely got a nice back. :)
Last but not least, it must be said: I love Andriy Voronin's ponytail. :D
Also, here are two videos of the warming-up, because photos wouldn't have done those exercises justice. Note the lapdance music in the background. (O_O)
1.
Kicking around with the ball. (The way Steve Finnan runs cracks me up. XD)
2.
Stretching and air-kicking and some suggestive hip swaying. (I swear I died laughing. Do forgive me if I couldn't hold still whilst filming that. XD)
It would be great if you couldn't repost the pics and videos anywhere. If you want to, please ask first. You're free to link people to this post, though. :)
