This is entirely
dauntless_2005's fault.
It all started with me looking for something to present her for her birthday - which was some days ago. I was, of course, browsing Google for "Gillington".
And while I was browsing, I found
this. You think this is an ordinary pedigree page? Hah. You're wrong. There's a secret, guarded for about three hundred years: the last piece of proof we need.
Open
this RootsWeb page and be surprised!
As you can see, there's a boy called Nicholas Gillington, born between 1675 and 1676 in England.
Just for historical reference: Port Royal was destroyed on June 7, 1692, by an earthquake, so if we pretend that the story of Pirates of the Caribbean happened before this, since after the earthquake, Kingston took Port Royal's responsibilities and the Governor moved there, it is perfectly possible that this Nicholas Gillington - since RootsWeb says the name of his father is Girlington (!) - is the lost child of Andrew Gillette and James Norrington.
Isn't it? ;)
And since I promised you to do something with that piece of information, I pestered
black_claw until she agreed to do it with me.
