A/N: The crime story is based on a real murder, yet unsolved, having taken place in Hof, Germany, in 2004. There's no smut in this piece ('only' a quite passionate kiss), but I promise there will be more in the next part. :) Anamaria is introduced as James' girlfriend here, but I kept her a flat character. Apologies to all the Anamaria fans, there will be more of her soon.
