"Our crops are saved!"
Some of you all may remember that cheesy Prell shampoo commercial (I think it was Prell) where they're shooting a movie and the woman keeps shooting the same scene in the rain saying, "Our crops are saved!"
ANYWAY, after over a month of hot, rainless weather we finally have a batch of thunderstorms moving through the area with a lot of rain. It's such a great break in the monotony. I hate the heat (so don't ask why I'm still in Texas). I envy those people who look forward to summer and live in the North where they can actually spend time outside and not risk heat stroke. Some day I want to move to the northwest and enjoy a summer like I used to when I was a kid at my grandparents' house in Connecticut.
