HAPPY BIRTHDAY
luciademedici!!
Both of you, please, beg of me a drabble! ^_^
I got to see Opus Cactus last night, the fabulous performance by Momix and oh my god. Wow. That was the best modern dance performance ever. I mean, they performed to Transglobal Underground, Dead Can Dance and Mickey Hart among myriad bits of digeridoo. How much better can it get? I want to see more Momix definitely.
I finally got around to drawing the other night. Nothing to display yet, but it was just good to lay in the floor and draw with abandon. Although my little nubbly smudgy things sucked. They are those that peel away, not the compressed whatever type that you file down. And that sucks. I much prefer the latter.
In other news, praise much overdue,
lejic wrote me birthday fic! It's Remus/Sirius, with implied James/Remus *swoons* and it's long, has Marauder interplay that's just delightfully giggly and it's... well that'd sort of give it all away. And I hate doing that, so:
It was no secret that Sirius was beautiful. Charming too and exciting and attractive surely. Mainly beautiful though. Even the girls who liked him (and there were quite a few) admitted that he was more beautiful than handsome. Yet if you didn't look closely, it didn't strike you - his wild muggle clothing and scary grin was what you noticed, not the aristocratic lines of his face. It took most people weeks to notice just how beautiful he was, almost in a girly way.
Remus had been friends with him for three years now.
So when Remus started imagining Sirius' face close to his when he touched himself, he supposed it was because Sirius was beautiful. Such a pretty face, could've been a girl's, really. I stayed with my father this week as Mummy was down catching Mardi Gras beads. While there I wrote a little and mentioned it to him in passing. He wanted to know if any of what I wrote was up for publishing. (*rolls eyes at dad, then says 'awwwww, sweet dad!'*) When I told him it was fanfic he wanted to know why I wasn't writing stuff I could publish. Hee. He then wanted to know if I was writing things 'of a pornographic nature' heh heh. I thought it was sweet.
eta: I'm spoiled and don't like brown lettuce. I bet Regulus doesn't either and would join me in refusing to eat it. I imagine Kreacher fed it to him for payback.
'Regulus, stop picking at your food.'
'It's brown,' he mutttered sulkly and glared at Sirius when he laughed. Sirius had seen Kreacher's snarl that warmed and curled Regulus's lettuce alone. He'd only kicked the stupid elf once for telling on him.
'Shall I call Kreacher in?' Mother's voice took on an imperious warning tone. Regulus knew well and good that she'd believe Kreacher over her, just as he knew that Kreacher could make the lettuce look fresh with a snap.
'No.'
'What did you say?'
'No, ma'am.'
'I think you've had enough to eat tonight.' She dismissed him without another glance and even Sirius turned back to his food. Regulus slid out of his chair and placed his napkin neatly in the seat. He bowed, trying to keep tears back and walked stiffly to the door.
Once in the hall, the tears broke through, hot and embarassing. Kreacher was there in a loud crack of sound. 'Master isn't so superior now is he? Does Master want to kick again with his little feet?'
Regulus stared at the blurry elf and wiped his nose. He sniffed as he answered. 'I'll have your head, you dirty rat.' Even he could admit that through his blubbering noise the threat sounded less than promising, but he meant it. And he knew the sycophantic beast knew it. 'I'm not scared of you. I'll have a wand one day.' With that he turned, ran to his room and took his aggressions out on the Slytherin tapestry hanging over his bed.
When he lay panting in the floor with exhaustion, the tapestry now only two scraps on iron pegs, Sirius finally returned. 'What took you so long?'
Sirius looked guilty. 'Sorry. We had pudding. And then... my letter came.' He spoke carefully trying not to let the excitement take over.
Regulus sat up, exhaustion gone. 'Really?'
Sirius nodded and grinned. 'Want to see? Oh.' He pulled something from his pocket. 'I brought you rolls. And Father gave me this.' He handed him two squashed rolls with jam smeared inside and a miniature bowl. Regulus stared at the bowl. 'Touch the top.' When he did, it quivered and twisted until it became a full size pudding with berries around the sides.
Regulus smiled at him. They curled up in the window seat and he leaned back on Sirius as he ate his pudding. He listened to Sirius read the Hogwarts letter aloud and smiled to himself. After sharing the rolls they fell asleep as rain began spattering the window arhythmically, brothers in arms.
I have a
nohari window to compliment my
johari window. I'm going to send this to people that really know me and see if they dare to tell me what they think. ^__^
