There is a Word for Sorrow

Yay Maine! I made a 'yay' tag. Hopefully I'll end up with many more. ^_^

I finally hennaed my hair but I had no indigo so my colour is more orangey than cherry, alas.

In an utterly useless exercise of boredom, I compiled the subjects of April's Poetry month posts into a poem.

There is a Word for Sorrow

Goodnight and goodbye,
mirror lost.

And when the spirit of Hafiz is fled--
You want proof I'm not just a pampered brat?

And ears like errant wings!

While I am carried by the wind,
give her then the glass rings
without borders and shores.

(I said, your lips said, گفتـم که لبت)

Here, I said, is Akka,
where pleasing fancy loves to roam.

I was much too far out all my life,
and Eros never approaches her.

(cry, then, amber girl)

-the poets & me

We're stormy and tornadic here again which is probably why I ended up taking my last Treximet last night. Sirens were going off this morning and poor Pickles just hates those, so he hides. The warnings and watches are all south now, but it's still spectacularly gloomy and creepy outside.

This is my attempt at cross-posting with dreamwidth. I'm
txilar t/here, but I'm not moving just yet, just checking it out and trying to figure it out.

yay, poem
