SpecTra Rocked
Man, i just got back from SpecTra, it was awesome. i guess i should recap my week. MONDAY.... so, we got to camp on monday at like 2 or something, checked in and then had session orientation. not much exciting bout that. danced that night. slept a lil. TUESDAY.... went SCUBA diving. that was pretty cool, cept that it was in a lil pool in brownwood. but i learned alot of cool stuff. like how to clear my mask of water and how to remove and replace a regulator. Then, that afternoon we went sailing. I learned how to tack and how to rig a sail. WEDNESDAY... went to the lake and sailed around in the morning, then we drove to a dock by the dam and went tubing behind a boat. it was pretty fun, we swam around and went to an arcade. It was way stormy so we had to leave early. THURSDAY.... Went sailing to FLAT ROCK park. It took us two hours to get there because it was like 4 miles away and there wasnt alot of wind. we ate at the park. haha, blaine and i built a sand castle out of stuff we found along the shoreline. it was hilarious. THEN, we were supposed to sail back to the 4H center, but there was NO wind. like NOT any. so our instructor told us to paddle with our daggerboards, which are these things that keep the boat upright when its actually sailing. Well that didnt work well, so Amber and i swam the boat back. 4 miles. thats right folks, 4 miles. o well. it was hilarous, learned why sailors cuss. FRIDAY.... swam in the pool, went to the lake to put up the boats. got ready for the GALA. did everyone elses hair ... burnt my thumb. didnt have a chance to fix my hair. its all good though. i had a blast. And todays saturday. its great to be home. night y'all
