raloria 1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
I have been a lot more independent this year than I have in the past few. I became so dependent on my mom to do things for me I lost the little independence I had growing up. This year I promised myself that I would do things for myself. There were times she offered to help and I accepted; only because it was impossible for me to do it myself.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never make any resolutions just for the fact that it doesn’t help my self esteem issues lol. I don’t respond well to failure and I never keep to my resolutions and when I do break I feel terrible about it. The new year does put life into perspective and I try to make my quality of life better this year than the last.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousin’s wife gave birth to their baby girl. :)
4. Did anyone close to you die?
My great-grandmother passed away in September.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
Someone special would be nice or just lots of sex in general. Whore it up ya know? LOL jk. I would like to be happier this year than I was last year. 2011 was a successful year for me, but it came with a lot of struggle. I would just like to smile and it for it to mean something.
7. What date(s) from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
March 23rd; the day I got hired after nearly two years of un-employment.
8. What was your biggest achievement of this year?
Getting my car. I worked my ass off this year and it was a miracle in itself that I got a job, but being able to finally get my own car was just so huge for me.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Being a sister.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I got a cold that wouldn’t quit, but other than that. I’m looking at the bruises and teeth marks from when Zeus bit me last night though.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Again, my car. Okay so I’m in the process of buying it, but it still counts right? I also my external hard-drive which has been a God send. Love that little thing.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Mom, for always believing in me, but knowing when I needed the kick in the ass to keep me going. Kathy and Cath for being so incredibly supportive through my crazy year. I would be in the loony bin if it wasn’t for them.
aka_paloma, for being the best fangirl friend I could ask for. May the squeeing and ranting never die! #TeamTylerForever!!
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My brothers, whose priorities are seriously screwed up.
14. Where did most of your money go?
To bills. Lame.
15. What did you get really, really excited about?
I was super excited about getting my car, but it was rough at first. But yeah I almost full on flailed with the woman who was doing my paperwork. I did give her a big Yay! When she handed me my keys lol.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
I wish I had done less drugs. This is a whole other story that will get it’s own post eventually.
20. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
Well since it’s January 2, 2012, I’ll just let you know what I did that day. First I got up and went to work, which totally sucked by the way. As soon as I got off I went straight home, peeled off my work clothes and got into bed. I slept till about 7:30, then I showered and got ready to go to my aunt’s house. This is where I drank about nine Dos Equis (almost finished my 12 pack) and laughed the night away. After we rang in the New Year, I went home and promptly went to bed lol. No hang over the next day. Awesome.
21. Did you fall in love in 2011?
Can’t fall in love when you’re whoring around. That’s not how the game works.
22. What was the best concert you attended?
I didn’t go to any in 2011. Epic Sadness.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
Right now it’s The Vampire Diaries. As much as I LOVE Supernatural, it wasn’t delivering for me like I had in the past.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate at the same time last year?
I could never HATE someone, but there is some serious dislike of a certain someone.
25. What was the best book you read?
It has to be, hands down, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Adele. Queen. Everyone else is irrelevant.
27. What did you want and get?
A car.
28. What did you want and not get?
A man of the tall, dark and handsome variety.
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
Hmm, I don’t know…I didn’t get to see too many movies this year. The Thing was pretty good.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I don’t even remember, that’s how lame it was. I probably had dinner with the family. I turned 25.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A man of the tall, dark and handsome variety.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Well I have a lot of dressy clothes that I wear for work, but I’m forever a jeans and t-shirt type of girl.
33. What kept you sane?
My family, my friends (RL and online), Zues, and music.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Michael Trevino. We’re going to have tons of beautiful Mexican babies together one day.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
I wish I was more involved in politics, but I’m not so I can really comment on this one.
36. Who did you miss?
There isn’t anyone I miss in particular. I used to miss my best friends like crazy, but now I’ve accepted that we’ve grown apart.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
I’ve met some great people working at a rental store; everyone from the delivery guys and other girls from different locations, to the crazy customers lol.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011.
I learned that YOU are the only person who can make things happen; hard work and determination are the first steps to independence. Don’t let failure break you; let it motivate you to the next level.
39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
“I came to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive. I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise, to fly.”
40. Single greatest moment of 2011?
I remember waking up one morning and I felt happy. The first thought in my mind wasn't about how much I hated I was alive, or how much I hated my life or how I wish things would just be better. I got up and felt good about everything that had happened up until then. There were good times and bad times, but I was satisfied how my life had changed over the year. That little moment I had in the dark in my room was a profound one. I had been so depressed for so long and to wake up and smile was incredible. I get teary thinking about it.
